It ended the 14° edition!

It ended even this splendid Befana Tournament 2012.

In the first place of the podium this year there is Arcella-Riviera that wins the boys’ final against Reyer Venezia, the winner of the last two editions of our Tournament.

In the women's Tournament the Polish Ks Jas-fbg girls has won the final against A. dil.team Martellago 78.

As each edition there is something to be learned: great sportsmanship and respect shown by the Macedonian KK Tomas that at the end of a game point to point against the friends of the Centro Minibasket Ist. Comp. Carrè Chiuppano Zanè have embraced their opponents, made photos with them, and leaving they applauded the audience.

Cool at the Friendly Game, held on January 6 for the guest teams and the organizers, to see a child of S.s. Mens Sana 1871 Siena gives the hand to a girl of A.s.d. San Martino because she misses a free throw.

These are the things that drive us to give our best every year.

We ask your collaboration and respect of following information:

- When the children and instructors arrive at Palaberta of Montegrotto Terme assisted by our staff, will occupy their positions in camp, or in tribune where the people will look the final.

- Before, during and at the end of final no family can access to the playing camp. Can access only the organizers of the tournament.

-All children should sit where indicated by the staff of the tournament. None teams can get up, move, change position, even at the end of parade. The exit will be in groups, we invite the last teams to remain seated until it's your time.

Macedonia e Polonia al torneo della Befana di Limena

LIMENA Ha preso il via la quattordicesima edizione del torneo internazionale della Befana, organizzato dall’Hurricane Basketball con il patrocinio della Fip. Dopo la giornata inaugurale, la palla a due viene rilanciata oggi alle 9. Gli incontri si disputano nelle palestre di Limena, Taggì di Sotto, Torreselle, Villafranca, Mortise, Padova e Montegrotto. Sabato 7 gennaio (ore 16), al Pala Berta di via Lachina a Montegrotto, è in programma la finale. Sono 36 le formazioni iscritte alla competizione, provenienti da ogni parte del Veneto. «Quest’anno – rivela il presidente dell’Hurricane Leopoldo Carraro – ospitiamo anche due squadre straniere, un fatto unico, mai accaduto prima. Rivolgiamo un saluto speciale ai ragazzi del Kk Tomas e alle ragazze del Ks Jas-fbg, arrivati da Tetovo (Macedonia) e Sosnowiec (Polonia). L’altra novità assoluta è la nascita del torneo femminile riservato alla categoria Esordienti, il cui merito va alla grande sensibilità delle Lupe presiedute da Francesco Cordiano». E proprio le compagini del Basket San Martino sono state protagoniste al nono memorial «Antonio Cestaro», dedicato al padre di Marcello, presidente del Famila Schio. Le «lupette» Under 15 e Under 19 hanno centrato primo e secondo posto nei rispettivi tornei. L’Under 15 Mazzonetto di Michele Parolin ha conquistato il trofeo superando di slancio Lubiana (62-54), Schio (42-23) e Vicenza (68-46), mentre le ragazze di Dino Girotto hanno vinto il loro girone a tre squadre regolando Gualdo Tadino e Vicenza prima di cedere in finale al Famila. All’Under 19, però, è rimasta la soddisfazione per l’ottima prova corale e il titolo di top scorer assegnato a Caterina Dotto.
